Please refer to this list first (in Chinese). It’s quit a huge list. But I’ll say you must try Ramen, a nice decent sushi restaurant , Japanese Yakiniku (BBQ) and tsukiji fish market.

l   Ramen:

Afuri, Ichiran, Ippudo, rokurinsha…. These are chain and very good.

l   If you have no limit on budget, there is one 3 star, super famous sushi bar I would like to go. He is rated as King of sushi in Japan. Very hard to book a table.!! You need to find someone who speak Japanese for you to make an order. It’s around 500 usd per person.

otherwise, it’s worth enough to find a one star sushi bar to go.

there are some famous restaurant you need to wait in line around 5. A.m. otherwise they will all sold out. Such as Daiwa Sushi or Sushi dai.

This one is my favorite, but not close to any sightseeing place. I think you can find some others that is good too!

If you want to try something special, go for a meal of puff fish or eel over rice.
